
Out of the supportive therapies of tumour diseases, we summarised useful information about trace element supply on these pages. The treatment of tumour diseases is a complex task, which in addition to basic treatment procedures (e.g. surgical removal, chemotherapy, radiotherapy) also involves other, so-called supportive treatments.
There is a need for supportive treatments, because the tumour disease and the anti-tumour therapy both tend to considerably weaken the organism. The objective of supportive therapies is to ease the complaints and side effects emerging as a result of the tumour disease or its therapy, and thus to improve the patient’s general condition and well-being, significantly determining the quality of life.
